1. About Us

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Morii Matcha website and the purchase of products offered by Morii Matcha Pty Ltd (ACN 683 849 229) (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By placing an order or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

2. Eligibility

By using our website and placing an order, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age, or are accessing the site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian;

• You are located in Australia; and

• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

3. Products

Morii Matcha sells premium matcha powder, tea products, and brewing accessories via our Shopify-powered online store. We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or limit the availability of any product at any time without notice.

Product images and descriptions are provided for illustrative purposes. While we make every effort to display products accurately, slight variations in colour, packaging, or appearance may occur.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price displayed at checkout is the price you will be charged.

We accept multiple payment methods including credit/debit card, PayPal, and Buy Now Pay Later options (such as Afterpay or similar services). By selecting a Buy Now Pay Later provider, you agree to that provider's separate terms and conditions.

Payment is processed securely through Shopify Payments and/or third-party payment providers. Morii Matcha does not store your full payment details.

5. Orders & Contract Formation

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. A binding contract is only formed once we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to cancel or decline any order at our discretion, including in circumstances where:

• A product is out of stock;

• There is a pricing or product description error; or

• We are unable to verify payment.

If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Subscription Service

6.1 How It Works

We offer a monthly subscription service for matcha powder. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your nominated payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

6.2 Billing & Renewal

Your subscription renews automatically each month. You will be charged on or around the same date each month from the date of your initial subscription. You will receive an email reminder before each renewal charge.

6.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account portal or by contacting us at hello@moriimatcha.com. Cancellations must be made at least 7 business days before your next scheduled billing date to avoid being charged for the following cycle. No refunds are provided for partially used subscription periods.

6.4 Subscription Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing or terms with at least 30 days' written notice. Continued use of the subscription after this period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

7. Shipping & Delivery

We currently ship within Australia only. Estimated delivery timeframes are provided at checkout and are indicative only. Morii Matcha is not liable for delays caused by Australia Post or third-party couriers.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery location and order size. Risk of loss and title for products passes to you upon dispatch.

If your order is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date so we can investigate and assist.

8. Returns & Refunds

8.1 Change of Mind

We accept returns for change of mind within 7 days of the date you receive your order, provided that:

• The product is unused, unopened, and in its original condition and packaging;

• You contact us before returning the item; and

• Return postage costs are covered by you.

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, a refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

8.2 Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you receive a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of receipt with a description and photo of the issue. We will offer a replacement, exchange, or full refund at our discretion.

8.3 Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), including your rights to a remedy where goods are not of acceptable quality or do not match their description.

9. Wholesale

We offer wholesale supply to cafés and food businesses. Wholesale arrangements are subject to separate wholesale terms and conditions agreed between Morii Matcha and the wholesale customer. If you are interested in wholesale, please contact us at hello@moriimatcha.com.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including logos, images, copy, and product photography, is owned by or licensed to Morii Matcha Pty Ltd and is protected by applicable copyright and trade mark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Morii Matcha's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your purchase will be limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in this clause excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Privacy

We collect and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website. By using our website and making a purchase, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on our website with the revised effective date. Your continued use of our website or services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
